Join us on Sunday June 2, 2019 as we celebrate the 40th Walk for Rape Relief – an annual event of community support and solidarity in our shared commitment to end violence against women!

Let’s gather and celebrate all the people – our volunteers, friends, alliances, donors – who participate in working to end violence against women and make the 40th Walk for Rape Relief the best yet!

By asking the people that you know to pledge you, you are asking them to actively support our work towards a world without violence.

Everyone is welcome, whether you raise $1 or $10 000. After the walk, we’ll have a free lunch and live entertainment.

Ask your friends, family and anyone else you can think of to join you and Rape Relief at the Walkathon – virtual walkers accepted too! They can collect their own pledges or donate to yours.

On Sunday June 2, 2019, come to Ceperley Park (near Second Beach in Stanley Park with your pledges) and have a wonderful time with us.

Past Walkathon donors raised the funds for the down payment on our transition house, and then helped us pay it off. Since 1973, our group has responded to close to 46,000 women seeking our support in their escape from male violence. Since we opened our transition house in 1981, we have housed over 3,000 women and over 2,600 children.

Now, funds raised not only help us to continue providing free, essential services to women and their children from across the Lower Mainland and beyond who are escaping male violence, but also contribute to our autonomy as a women’s group.

You can find more details about the walk and how to get there here.
