Press Release: 10 years and 9 years in Prison to Vancouver Men who Pimped Two young Women and a Fifteen-year-old girl

VANCOUVER, BC – Today, Friday – February 15, 2019, at BC Supreme Court in Downtown Vancouver, Justice Masuhara sentenced Tamim Albashir to 10 years in prison, and Kasra Mohsenipour to 9 years in prison, for trafficking and pimping of two young women and a 15-year-old girl.

With credit of time already served, Albashir has 5 years and 9 months remaining to serve and Mohsenipour has 5 years and 5 months remaining to serve.


In February 2018, Tamim Albashir and Kasra Mohsenipour were found guilty of 17 charges for crimes committed against three victims in Vancouver, Coquitlam and Edmonton from May 2013 to April 2016. 

Two of the victims were in their early 20’s. mothers to young children. The third victim was a 15 year-old-girl.
