Here you will find campaigns we initiated or that we joined over the past few years. They arose out of the particular political context we are in as feminists in Vancouver and in Canada. These campaigns have importance on the issue of violence against women specifically and women’s inequality in general.

For example, criminal justice response arose directly from working with women who tried to use the system to protect themselves from an abusive man. The prostitution issue came to the fore again when there was a big push to legalize prostitution before the Olympics.

These campaigns we have joined or initiated are on top of the day to day work we do to prevent/resist and respond to male violence against women by operating our 24hr rape crisis line and transition house for battered women and their children.
