Stats about Harassment of women in Canadian workplaces

19% of employed women in Canada have experienced harassment in their workplace in the past year. Workplace harassment includes verbal abuse, humiliating behaviour, threats to persons, physical violence, and unwanted sexual attention or sexual harassment.

13% of women experienced verbal abuse in the past year. 6% of women experienced humiliating behaviour and 3% of women had experienced threats.
Out of the women who reported being harassed, 53% were harassed by a client or a customer, 32% were harassed by their supervisor or manager, and 34% experienced harassment by a colleague or a peer.
